Sportcar Community: Speed Creed Surabaya




As Jakarta Speed Creed, Surabaya as the second capital city in Indonesia had their community too. Yes, this is Surabaya Speed Creed Community and same like Jakarta this community consist of luxurious and exotic sport cars. Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Maseratti, and some fast Japanese cars like GT-R and Supra.

Driver's Profile: Ken Block "GYMKHANA"




Ken Block (born November 21, 1967, in Long Beach, California) is a professional rally driver with the Monster World Rally Team . Block is also one of the co-founders and recently appointed Chief Brand Officer of DC Shoes. Block has also competed in many action sports events including skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross.

He begin his career in rally in 2005 and he is getting more and more popular until now. He make new name for motorsport rally named Gymkhana. Gymkana is a type of motorsport practiced in an increasing number of countries. Similar to autocross, gymkhana courses are often very complex and memorizing the course is a significant part of achieving a fast time. The example of Gymkana course:

New Car Review: Toyota GT-86

The Toyota GT-86 is a sport car manufactured jointly by Toyota and Subaru. The vehicle consists of many design cues from the earlier FT-HS  concept. All that is known about the car so far is that it will be a light front engine, rear drive, 4 or 5 seat coupe, with a new 2 liter Toyota-Subaru "D-4S" Boxer engine.  The GT-86 rides on a modified Subaru Impreza platform with 101.2-inch wheelbase, with length, width, and height measuring 163.8, 69.3, and 49.6 inches, respectively.  A base price in the USD $20,000 range is expected when the car hits the market in late 2011 with a Toyota badge, with the Subaru version following shortly afterwards.  According to an interview by Digg, Jim Lentz, COO and President of Toyota Motor Sales USA confirmed that the production version of the GT-86 is scheduled to be sold in America but an actual date wasn't yet disclosed.

The vehicle was unveiled in 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

It is expected that the Toyota and Subaru versions will be styled similarly on the outside, with the Subaru version getting different head and tail lights and a different hood. It has a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated boxer engine mated to a Subaru 6-speed manual transmission. The concept is fitted with brakes from Advics, a joint venture company formed between Aisin Seiki, Denso, Sumitomo Electric and Toyota.

This car will be fun to drive bacause it is Rear Wheel Drive and got 6 speed manual gearbox and of course the reliable boxer engine from Subaru. Unfortunately, the GT-86 didn't powered turbocharged or in other word it is only Naturally Aspirated (N/A).

Nissan Skyline R34 "The Godzilla"





It is like a dream come true for me to have this legendary sport car. This car earn so many respects from people as a sport car. This car is so reflects Japanese Warrior sport car. Skyline started its generation from 1971. In that year, the body form doesn't look as good as nowadays. Next the second generation is Skyline R32 GT-R, this car started to get attention from people. Then, there's R33 GT-R, finally there's the generation like I had here is Skyline R34,this generation is the most popular among people beacuse the basic engine is so potential and so reliable at high performance. And it is easy to modify the engine too. The stock engine R34 is about 250 bhp if it GTS-T version like a had, however mine is already tuned so it can get about 450 bhp. Meanwhile if the R34 is the GT-R version it can reach 280 bhp.

The modification in my R34 GTS starting from the engine's internal such as Tomei pistons, Nismo bearings,Tomei Camshaft, HKS head gasket 1,6mm, ported and polished Head by HKS Japan, and ARP head stud. And then for better fuel distribution HKS 600 cc injectors, HKS 450 lph(litre per hour) high flow fuelpump, Sard fuel pressure regulator, and HKS fuel rail were installed. To boost the performance HKS 3037 turbo,HKS manifold, HKS downpipe, HKS racing suction kit, and HKS type S intercooler kit fit in this car. All of this managed by HKS F Con V pro. To enhance stabilizer HKS Hypermax II coilover, Carbing sturbar, and Carbing Lower Arm Bar were installed. Finally for the exhaust sytem I trust HKS Hi-Power GT-R Spec.

Mitsubishi Evo 8 GSR 2004






My car next is Mitsubishi Evo 8 GSR, the 8th generation of the Evo. This Evo generation is so popular among petrolhead because of it's really really reliable engine. The standard engine of this car is 2000 cc turbocharged. In stock condition,this car already can accelerate 0-100 in just under 6 seconds. Yes it is a quick car. What I do to this car is change the front bumper,so it looks like the next generation Evo 9. And then the engine I installed Sard fuel press regulator and HKS injector 680 cc for better fuel distribution at high rpm. Gruppe M air filter carbon, HKS piping, and HKS blow off valve also fit in this car. I trust Ogura Racing Clutch to canalize the power from the engine. And for the better perfomance I used Greddy e-Manage Ultimate Piggyback. Finally for the exhaust, I used HKS spec R titanium catback exhaust Circuit Spec. This exhaust is so good to increase car performance and of course it entertain me with its noisy sound.
To improve the exterior my Evo looks, I also wrappedit with yellow cutting sticker like my Subaru and then I change the wheel with gold BBS LM
.The last photo is when My Evo shooted for the magazine named Codymaxx.The tagline for my car is "Yellow EvoRoad Racer' and I'm quite satisfied of what they do.

"Yellow Scooby" Subaru Impreza WRX 2005



My next sport car is Subaru Impreza. This sedan car may looks so nice because of its exterior modification. But sadly, I didn't do all of the modification. I bought the car in this condition already. The car's color actually black, but it wrapped with yellow cutting sticker nicely. The wheels of the car is Work Emotion XD-9 looks so fit on this car. The looks of this car also supported by Varis original carbon parts,such as hood,trunk, and also vortex generator. Vortex generator can help the vehicle gain the downforce when it run until 35%. The aerodynamics also supported by the identic STi (Subaru Technica International) wing.
Meanwhile the engine just a mild modification such as open air filter, HKS downpipe, and Cusco cooling plate.

Black Toyota Celica SS II Mechanical



This is my 2nd sport car called Toyota Celica. Manufactured year is 2000. The basic engine is the same like Totota Altis 1.8L but this car has technolgy VVTL-i(Variable Valve Timing and Lift Inteligent system) instead of VVT-i. VVTL-i helps this car to rev its engine until7800 rpm and burst 190 bhp. So nothing special about this car's engine, but the looks my God! So good! Really sports car people dream about. Unfortunately,the looks doesn't supported by its engine performance. The modification I did to this car just change the wheels, becuase it is already got nice standard bodykits from it's factory.

 Integra type R gathering with my friend. He owned white Integra, we did photoshoot in the outside parking Supermal. The second photo is the engine bay of my Integra, many original parts ordered to bolt-on in this car. Starting from the radiator is Koyorad Aluminium, Skunk2 Pro Intake, HKS radiator cap, Mugen oil cap. Spoon coilcover, Spoon engine cover, Mugen Carbon air filter box, also Tanabe Strutbar Stabilizer. And the engine internal used CP pistons, Eagle conrods, ACL race bearings, but both of the camshafts and crankshaft remains original. 




Honda Integra type R


This is my first sport car that my parents gave it to me. 2 door Integra type R also known as DC5R. This sport car usually tuned by Naturally Aspirated (N/A). N/A is maximizing the performance the engine itself by ported and polished head, changes of intakes, throttle body, air filter, and also supported by the ECU and the exhaust sytems. My DC5R estimated got 250 bhp, which is really good for a street race sport car. It will accelerate from 0-100 km/h just about 6 seconds and of course it supported by its light body and good chasis, also the aerodynamics stuff such as spoiler and bodykits. The process of building this car took about 4 months.
